Join Us for a Weekend of Railways, Large and Small, in 2026!
Get ready for one of the South East’s most popular model railway events as the Spa Valley Railway’s much-loved Model Railway Show returns in September 2026. Bringing together an impressive collection of model railways, trade exhibitors, heritage trains and family-friendly activities, this is a fantastic weekend for railway enthusiasts of all ages.
Discover a fascinating variety of layouts in scales and gauges including N, OO, O, OO9, S and more, showcasing everything from detailed branch lines and bustling stations to stunning countryside scenes and engineering masterpieces. Whether you’re a lifelong modeller, a railway enthusiast, or simply looking for an enjoyable family day out, there will be something to capture your imagination.
Layouts will be displayed throughout the railway, with extensive exhibitions inside the Engine Shed at Tunbridge Wells West, alongside additional layouts at Groombridge and Eridge. Keep an eye out as you travel too – you’ll even find model railways on board selected trains, making this a truly unique railway event.
A range of specialist trade stands will also be attending, offering model railway supplies, locomotives, rolling stock, accessories and expert advice. Whether you’re adding to your collection or starting a new project, you’ll find plenty to browse throughout the weekend.
Families can join in the fun with our popular Model Railway Hunt, exploring the railway in search of clues for the chance to win a prize. Combined with unlimited travel aboard our heritage trains, it makes for a memorable day out for visitors of all ages.
We expect to welcome over 30 layouts and 10 trade stands to the 2026 show, making it one of the largest model railway events in the region. Visitors will also be able to enjoy an intensive two-train heritage service, with the magnificent Southern Railway Bulleid Pacific 34053 “Sir Keith Park” scheduled to be one of the locomotives in operation.
The show will be open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday 19th September and Sunday 20th September 2026. Admission tickets can be purchased online in advance or on the day, subject to availability.

On the day of your visit you MUST have your eTickets available to show either in a print out or on a mobile device, both will be checked visually by a member of staff before boarding the train.
