Conveniently located just off the A26 between Crowborough and Tunbridge Wells, the station is clearly signposted and features a 100-space car park. Parking charges apply daily, but it remains more affordable than town centre alternatives. There’s also a small amount of free on-street parking directly outside the station.
For those travelling from London or Surrey, Eridge is easily reached via Southern’s Uckfield Line with direct trains from London Bridge, East Croydon, Oxted, Crowborough, and Uckfield calling at Platform 1. Our heritage Spa Valley trains use Platforms 2 and 3 — often timed to connect with Southern services — making it seamless to swap steam for rail nostalgia. A selection of drinks and snacks are available on most running days from our PMV (Parcel & Miscellaneous Van) situated in Platform 3.
Opened in 1868, Eridge retains all the charm of a classic country station. It has been carefully restored by volunteers to its original British Railways Southern Region green and cream livery, offering a step back in time. The station is also a hub for walkers and cyclists alike — sitting on National Cycle Route 21 and adjacent to the popular Eridge Circular country walk.
Nature lovers can explore nearby footpaths through the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, including routes to Harrison’s Rocks, Forge Farm, and Groombridge.

Wildwood VineyardRight next door to the station is The Huntsman Public House, a welcoming and much-loved local pub known for its seasonal British menu, locally sourced produce, and excellent range of beer and wine. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed meal or drink before or after your journey. With limited indoor space, we recommend booking in advance — this gem is one of Eridge’s best-kept secrets!
