A real steam locomotive!

Experience the magic of steam travel as a heritage steam locomotive hauls your train through the stunning High Weald countryside. As you settle into your seat, you'll hear the unmistakable rhythm of the engine working hard at the front of the train, the sound of the whistle echoing through the valleys, and the gentle sway of the carriage as you travel along our historic railway.

At both ends of the line, you'll have the opportunity to step onto the platform and admire the magnificent locomotive that has brought your train to its destination. Watch as the crew prepare for the return journey, take photographs of these impressive machines, and soak up the atmosphere of a bygone age.

For many visitors, seeing the locomotive up close is one of the highlights of the day, and if you're lucky, the crew may even invite you to take a look on the footplate and experience the heart of the engine for yourself.

From the sights and sounds to the smell of steam and coal, it's an authentic railway experience that brings the golden age of travel vividly back to life. 🚂🔥📸
