Departing Tunbridge Wells West at 2:00 pm, this is the perfect way to relax and spend time with your family and enjoy Afternoon Tea on our train. Tuck into an excellent selection of freshly prepared finger sandwiches, scones, cakes, and a choice of teas or coffee. Why not enhance your Afternoon Tea by adding a bottle of prosecco at checkout?

As this is Mother’s Day, we will ensure you are only seated at a table with others in your booking (up to a maximum of four persons per table), and you will not be sharing with another booking.

Enjoy passing through the Spa Valley on a journey that takes you back and forth along the tracks. We’ll be stopping at High Rocks during this experience, which is taking place when the bridge at Broom Lane is being replaced, so unfortunately, our trains cannot reach Groombridge or Eridge.

However, the train will still cover the equivalent distance during your visit as if you were travelling the whole length of the line! There’ll be an opportunity to see the locomotive that pulled your train at Tunbridge Wells West.

A heritage train ride lasting around one hour.

Your departure time and station are shown on your eTicket. You will return to your starting station.

Allergens
Afternoon Tea is available for Adults (16+) and Children (2-15yrs). We can accommodate gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan dietary requirements as long as we are informed of them at the time of booking.

Other information
This experience is suitable for adults and children.

We regret that there can be no refund or transfer to a future date for ‘no show’ customers. The Spa Valley Railway still incurs charges for its services, which must be paid to our suppliers. We recommend taking out insurance to protect yourself if necessary. To re-book, you will be required to pay the full fare again.

Dogs are not permitted on this experience in accordance with our guidelines.

Our dining carriages feature a combination of tables for two and tables for four. As it is Mother’s Day, all bookings will be seated at separate tables (up to a maximum of four persons); you won’t be sharing with another family.

There is no alternative to Afternoon Tea, as this is the intended experience.

A £10 administration fee applies to all booking alterations.

Please note:
This experience is taking place when we are replacing the Broom Lane Bridge, a vital piece of infrastructure on our railway. Therefore, this experience will operate between Tunbridge Wells West and Broom Lane. We will complete multiple trips on this section of the railway during the one-hour experience. The train will cover the same distance you would normally cover, with an opportunity to stretch your legs at High Rocks and see the locomotive.
